Exceptional mafiosi rock mini-EP unearthed from the vaults!

This quite uncommon mini-EP features four tracks where the musicians, who seem to be arrived from Sicilia to Annaba, Algeria, skillfully delve into a Sicilian repertoire, introducing a refreshing twist, from 60s rock & yéyé to melancolic folk or ballads.
It's most probably a late 60s productions, as the musicians' clothes or the arrangements let us think. "Ciuri Ciuri", one of Sicilia's most reknown traditional song, has a somehow yéyé vibe - in the arrangements as much as the way they sing. "Mafia", with its deep opening, clearly reminds us Western Spaghetti's music.
Each side has a more traditional song at the end. Lovely !

Issued on Ambiance - probably a sub-label of Oasis Disques in Algeria - it gives us a glimpse of the history of Italian/Sicilian immigration in North Africa.

Limited deadstock quantities, available now for a fair price!
Records are shiny but have crackles through. Poor pressing. Covers are in very decent shape.
Solid VG+ copies !
