ITEM DESCRIPTION (GRADING)
(M / EX / VG+ ... symbols)

We use a classification based on international standards Goldmine and Record Collector Grading Systems. It's the universal code to describe precisely the condition of a record.

We use very conservative grading for used and second hand records, but there are categories (especially original African Records) where grading has to be adjusted. Many of these records are fragile or suffered from bad storage and are very hard to find in a great condition. Average African records announced as VG+ would often be graded as VG in other musical categories (jazz or soul for exemple).

SHOPPING CART
Simply click on the "cart" button placed next to each item's price to add your selected items to your cart. When you have finished your selection and wish to check out, just click the "cart" button and enter your details (name, adress, shipping method, etc.) in the form provided.

The shipping is automatically calculated based on the delivery country and shipping method selected. Thus, you know the total price of your order including shipping immediately.

You can always decide to add or remove items before confirming your payment.

REGISTERING
When ordering for the first time, you will be asked to register with us so that we have your billing address and payment details. You will receive a login and password to be recognized when you need to use the website.

SHIPPING COSTS
For the amount of shipping of your purchases, you must :

1 - Put the items you want in your shopping cart.
2 - Select the shipping method.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically in your shopping cart.

Shipping costs are set according to postal rates.

They are based on :

1 - the weight of the package (items + packaging).
2 - the method of shipping (priority OR registered).

SHIPPING METHOD
Priority method : Air mail for international.

Priority method DOES NOT provide a tracking number or acknowledgment of receipt , except for delivery in France (Colissimo).

Registered method : it is generally a shipping method with fast and secure legal evidence of shipping and insurance for the seller in case of loss or breakage. Recommended for high value orders (over 40-50 euros).

PAYMENT METHOD
You have 2 payments methods at your convenience :

- Credit card Visa, MasterCard and American Express
Credit Card payments are fully secured and made directly onto the Paypal Bank Secured Server.

- Paypal
Just select Paypal as a payment method in the check out form and you will be automatically re-directed onto www.paypal.com to process your payment.
Paypal lets you pay your orders quickly and easily by crediting our account sofarecords@yahoo.fr

When you finalize your order by choosing to pay by Paypal, the sequence of operations is as follows :

1 - We confirm the availability of items.
2 - You then have a period of 8 days to send payment. We offer you a direct link to credit our Paypal account with the total of your order. This link is sent via email.

After this period of 8 days without any payment from you, your order is canceled.

- If one of the items of your order is not available, it is removed from your order and the total is automatically recalculated. Your credit card is only debited for the items where availability was confirmed.

Cases for which you can carry out a complaint and grant for a refund

1 - Problems regarding the nature or the quality of the items :

- if the item you receive is different than the one ordered
- if it is broken or damaged.

2 - Loss :

Losses are very rare. Anyway, if you still haven't receive your order you have to contact us here.

In order to contact us for a complaint about non receipt, you need to respect the following deadlines :

For a domestic sending : between the 2nd and 3rd week after the shipping date.
For an international sending : between the 3rd and the 4th week after the shipping date.

When this deadline is met, if we feel your complaint is justified, we register it.
After a reasonable time regards to the shipping method and the country of delivery (from 6 to 9 weeks), if you still haven't received your order, you benefit from a refund of your purchase.
