Rare West Indies album by Paul Louis -probably related to the great Guadeloupean composer / arranger Roland Louis who was featured in countless Afro-Caribbean productions and considered a pioneer of Zouk style (he formed the Zouker's band in the late 70's). The Cumbéléros band featured prominent musicians of the Parisian / African-Caribbean scene, like Amédée Suriam, Edouard Benoit, Marcel Louis-Joseph... and famous Haitian singer Pierre Blain as lead singer. As on their other great album Soukou Loukou, it's an uplifting mix of Biguine, jazz and creolized Afro-Latin songs and instrumentals. Styles on labels are described as Cumbélélé, Afro-Bolero, Guajira, Slow, Bomba-Lélé, Cariabana and Bossa-Nova!

Sleeve has noticeable general aging. Solid VG+ record with soft scuffs, plays with light surface noise sometimes.
Still a nice copy of this recommended album.
