Boutaiba Saïdi comes from the city of Wahran, Algeria, and is a reknown figure of early/traditional raï music. He began to record during the mid-60s. When traveling in France in the early 70s, he met Brahim Ounassar from Cleopâtre — for whom he recorded several tapes and 7 inches. Boutaiba Saïdi recorded more than 250 records & tapes during is active life as a singer. This one is an early 90s production, issued on Ouassini Bouarfa's sublabel, Oran Production. Great songs with raw instrumentals and Boutaiba's absorbing chant. Killer tape with great sound ! As usual on Bouarfa's catalog.
