Late 80s production from this super-group, founded in Paris by natives of Sidi-Bel-Abbès: Tarik Naïmi Chikhi, Kaddour Bouchentouf, Lotfi Attar, Hachemi Djellouli and Djilali Rezkallah, of Armana. Raïna Raï has a unique sounds - and draws its originality by blending raï aesthetics (Abassi-style guitar play, amongst other) with Moroccan influences (gnawa & diwane) and instruments (krakeb, guembri, etc.), with 1980s global sound influences (like Lotfi Attar's guitar solos). Issued in 1988 on Edition Rachid et Fethi, this tape was produced & recorded by Rachid Baba Ahmed. Killer one! A bright mix of raï, reggae and gnawa, with two instrumentals on A1 and B4. A must have! Sealed deadstock copies.
