Celebrating the 35th anniversary of Bonga's first album in 1972, this 2-LP also contains his second effort from 1974. These recordings were made in Holland by producer Joao Silva and issued on the Morabeza label which was hosting many musicians from the Cape Verdean and Angolan diaspora in Europe in the 70's. Sax / flute player Jo Maka appears on the album, adding his afro-blues feeling. Includes a version of Amândio Cabral / Luis Morais's Sodade -dedicated to Amilcar Cabral-, 20 years before Cesaria Evora made it a worldwide hit.
