The Walias Band was among the most famous backing bands for many Ethiopian stars during the 60s and 70s. Named 'best of', this LP is not a compilation actually, but a mindblowing tradi-modern and Afro-Synth album recorded in 1981 in the USA, including revisited classics and some amazing Ethio-disco instrumentals ! This special session is featuring founder member Yohanes Tekola (co-founder with Mulatu Astatke), Hailu Mergia (Organ & Mini-Moog), Girma Beyene (electric piano) and several vocalists including Mahmoud Ahmed.
