Awesome dreamy folk/pop to prog rock solo project from Philippe Allaire, an obscure French composer originating from Paris's southern region.
Formed as a market gardener, Philippe began to play guitar at an early age – an instrument that he discovered in 1974 and never left aside from then.
Philippe was also a curious mind, unsatisfied with the sound of his era and decided to self-produce a record on the Paris-based label Le Kioske d'Orphée.
He teamed up with local musicians – some of them used to play in a local bluegrass band and/or with more reknown musicians such as Gabriel Yared.
His music stands at the crossraod of introspective folk, leftfield pop and prog rock – with a certain lysergic intend. Lovely arrangements that blend acoustic instruments with analog synths and effects with class.
Loyal to his craft, his texts mostly talk about peasantry, agriculture and local traditions.
This record is definitely for fans of Yves Simon, Neil Young or Crosby, Stills & Nash.
Perfect shape both record and cover, graded NM – very lightly warped. Comes with original inserts.
One copy per customer.
